Lingam 13 x 7 cm

Shivling (Shiva Lingam) is the formless existence of Shiva, the Hindu Deity, and is the male causative energy. It has been turned from a wind-blown wild cherry tree from Mealbank near Kendal.

The Lingam is a representation of Shiva in physical form, a mark (linga in sanskrit) that reminds us of the Omnipotent Lord, which is formless. It is a symbol of the generative/causative power of Lord Shiva.

It is normally given an ovoid shape for use as a focus for meditation. Some people believe that the shape itself is a source of positive energy and brings a sense of harmony to your home.

Yoni 20 x 16 x 6.5 cm

From the same wind-blown tree, This hand turned and carved Yoni (Shakti) is the base on which the Lingam (Shiva) rests and is the source of its power.

The Yoni is the expression, in physical form, of Shakti, the divine cosmic force of feminine creative energy. As Parvati, Shakti is the wife and energy behind Shiva, symbolising fertility, devotion and power.

The combination of Yoni and Lingam together is a physical expression of the creative forces of Shiva and Shakti, which are constantly at play in our lives.

Regularly returning attention to these physical forms will bring mindfulness to these great forces in our daily lives, so your Yoni and Lingam can become a source of inner strength, creativity and harmony.
