turned wood
By Adam Rubinstein
I discovered wood turning at school at the age of 11 and my training in painting at Chelsea School of Art in the mid '80s cemented my focus on creating beautiful things by any means available but it has been wood turning that has been an abiding passion for over 50 years.
There isn't anything difficult about wood turning, if you hold a sharp tool against a spinning piece of wood you will inevitibly change it's shape. But, like all crafts, the quality of what you produce depends on both your inspiration and your skill, which only comes with time and practise. I hope you enjoy browsing my website and maybe it will feed your soul a little too. If you would like to discuss something made especially for you, maybe from a particular piece of wood that has meaning for you, please do email me with your thoughts. |
